Hell forget all that, he's hardly played any downs on offense the last 3 games. I bet its no more than 10 or so total.

40, with 23 coming against Philly.

8 against Washington. 9 against Detroit.

What a fucking joke.

Beasley had 6 snaps through 3 weeks, all 6 coming in week 3.

Now Beasley has as many snaps as Escobar.

Well...err...when he gets "stronger" he will show you.

He's the fucking TE version of Arkin....a guy we will spend years on and never show any payoff.

I keep thinking that he will show speed. Or strength. Or route running skill.

He shows nothing.

Remember how our fearless leader supposedly told the coaching staff we had to use the guy since we were using a premium pick on him, and mandated the 2TE set be used almost exclusively?

This just goes to show how unlucky we are.

I mean, normally when you want to rely on a 36 year old fat guy who hasn't played football in over a year and wants to skip training camp to last an entire season, it works out for you.

But no, not Dallas when we try and do it.

Hmmph!

lol!

I don't remember players dropping like flies when I watched in the 70's, 80's & early 90's. And I mean all teams, good players are having season ending injuries left and right. The only significant injury loss I remember on the Cowboys was Kevin Smith, somehow those old school guys seemed to make it throughout an entire year when the rules allowed them to play a far more dangerous game.

I wonder if the lack of practice in pads, limited practices, etc isn't actually back firing or maybe I'm just going senile and have forgotten about the volume of injuries back in the day

We had injuries, but not the injuries in droves we seem to get every year now. Two of the Super Bowl winning years we lost our starting pro bowl C (Stepnoski in 93, Donaldson in 95) and there were others. Aikman missed some games here and there a lot of years too.

That said, I definitely believe there is something to the bolded statement.
