Since last night was a reality check, and I've come to terms that were not really good enough to contend in the NFC just yet, I've decided to root for Ware in his treck to eclipse the single season sack record.

I think he can do it, and he's not going to need his bff to fall on the ground for him to get it either.

Updated after week 10:

Record: 22.5
Wares current sack total: 15

Remaining games: 5

Average # per game needed: 1.6

Going to be tough, but the jets have a solid line and he was able to get pressure. Philly and the gmen should give a few multi sack games. Not to mention we still dont have a healthy secondary yet.

If he gets the record, does he also get DPOY or do they find another excuse to give it to someone else?

He won't even be his own team's Defensive MVP.

Sean Lee already has it in the bag.

I think he gets it this season with Rob Ryan. He is by far the best defensive player in the game. I think Ryan is rubbing off on him... he seems more confident (boarderline cocky) than he has ever been.

DWare's 2 sacks mark his 19th career multi-sack game. Ties Greg Ellis and Jim Jeffcoat for the most career multi-sack games in team history.

Greg Ellis?

Really? I had no idea.

For the record, I always thought Ellis could've had a Strahan like career had he not suffered that gruesum leg injury, and spent the lions share of his career being coached by Zimmer.

I'm rooting for him. The injuries to this team keep piling up, so pretty soon this may be all we have to tune in for.

Updated.

Trent played him good most of the night last night. But Ware should have had another two sack game if there wasn't so much holding going on.

I loved seeing Ware finally getting Pissed off at Williams. Started throwing him around like a rag doll.

As for Greg, that broken leg back in 1999 ended what would probably have been an All-Pro season, and then it took him a few seasons to get un-fucked. I think that year he had 8 or 9 sacks already, and he had the long interception return for a score against Atlanta (also ended Jamal Anderson's career that game), and the 98 yard fumble return for a touchdown against Zona.

Probably 3 sacks, he was held ridiculously all night

Do the refs get penalized in any way for obvious bad calls and non calls?

Do they have to watch the games over and see how shitty they really are? They should get fined.

The League doesn't discuss these matters publicly unless it's egregious.

They owe Ware and Ball an apology. I'm not sure what else Alan Ball does there?? Dive out of the way?

Allow Santana Moss to get a couple of yards and then tackle him, apparently
