DeMarcus Ware has never been one to make bold predictions.

Whether it’s his individual sacks or even with the overall team’s production, the NFL’s reigning sack leader tends to let his performance do most of the talking.
But when asked about the team finishing 6-10 last year and if this 2011 squad is any better, Ware didn’t mind voicing his thoughts.

“We weren’t a 6-10 team last year, but that’s what the record said,” Ware told reporters following Friday morning’s walk-through. “I know we can really improve from that 6-10, especially with the new improvements we have on defense. We think the offense is going to keep rolling. I think there’s not going to be another 6-10 season.”

Once again, it was posed back to Ware, asking what would change if the players are basically the same aside from a couple of Rob Ryan’s former players in Cleveland – Abram Elam and Kenyon Coleman.

“Yeah, it’s the same players, but not the same mentality,” Ware said. “It’s a different motivation and almost like a rebirth. We really like this new defense with Coach Ryan and we feel like we have a chance to turn it around. We’re putting last year in the past.”
Question, how have the Cowboys improved over the team that went 6-10 last year? Lets look at what transpired over the off season and into the recently open camp.
1. They cut Williams, Barber, Davis, Columbo and a kicker that never played in a game
2. They lost Sam Hurd in FA
3. They resigned Hatcher, Spears, Sensabaugh when they could not find anyone upgrades
4. They signed Free and Kosar both good moves
5. They drafted a young OL with the #1 pick and used #2 on an injured player that probably will not contribute this year
6. They do not have a legitimate backup for RT or RG
7. The secondary is still a major problem and even more so with Newman hurt again.
8. They don't have an experience # 3 & 4 reciever

Where did they improve and make up any ground on their competition in the EAST?
This team may be very lucky to get to 6-10 again this year, the schedule is not going to be big help. Everyone seems to be saying all they need to be a Super Bowl team is let Ryan wave his magic scheme over the defense and it will be Doomsday reincarnated. If Ryan was all this great why wasn't there competition with other NFL teams for a DC or why wasn't he considered for a Head Coaching position last year?
Everyone needs to take a serious look at this team and not just jump on the bandwagon because their are some very real issues that have not been addressed. Vote all of the "thumbs down" you want but this is not your fathers Dallas Cowboys, Tom Landry is dead and Jimmy is on his boat in the Keys and Jerry is running the show.

Fired Wade, make JG Head Coach and Rob Ryan DC. How you don't see this as an improvement over last year. I have no idea...

I think I have more of a clue than someone that thinks this same group of guys is gonna perform the same way they did last year without a DC basically.

Perhaps you would like to tell me where those clues might be. Up your ass? In your ass? Or you had a dream where Hallie Berry came to you and fed you grapes up your ass, until you figured this out?

I assume that you go by Clutch88 in honor of Pearson, Irvin, and possibly Bryant. However, the way you sit up in here and whine, maybe a more appropriate name would be Bitch69, for obvious reasons. Or maybe Bitch00---One '0' for the hole in your head, and the other '0' for the hole between your legs that's gushin blood and pus.

How about we go back to 2009 offseason, and you might find your answer.

1. and 2.) Yeah they cut Barber, Williams, Davis, Hurd, and Colombo. But in 2009, they also cut T.O., Roy Williams (safety), Anthony Henry, Greg Ellis, Chris Canty, and Zach Thomas. THAT'S 6 STARTERS right there. In addition to Pacman Jones and Tank Johnson. And yet after losing those players, the Cowboys went on to win 11 games and the division and a playoff game. And yet here you are bitching because we cut Hurd, Williams, Barber, Davis, and Colombo? And hey! You forgot Bowens.

Now I am certain when the Cowboys cut those 6 starters, you bitched then like you are now. And that's ok, because I bitched as well. But this time around, 2009 put things into perspective for me.

3.) You're not making any phucking sense! You just want to bitch! That's all. First you sit up hear and complain about how we cut Barber, Hurd, Williams, Davis, and Colombo, and now you complaining about how we re-signed Sensebaugh, Spears, and Hatcher. Now had we not re-signed any of those players, you'd be complaining about that. In 2009, we signed Sensebaugh, Brookings, and Olshansky.

5.) They did that last year as well with a guy name Sean Lee. I'm sure you said the exact same thing about him not likely to contribute.

6.) Define legitimate. And what makes the RT backup not a "legitimate" backup? When did Doug Free become a legitimate backup?

7.) Newman's hurt practically every year. Next.

8.) Actually we do have an experience #3 & #4 RECEIVER. That would be Dez and Bennett. I assume that Austin is the #1 receiver and Witten is the #2 receiver. Notice I didn't use WIDE receiver because you didn't specify as such. Ogletree would qualify as an experienced #4 WR that has been promoted to #3 WR. And how much experience are you going to find with a #4 WR? Most #4 WRs are rookies on most teams.

Other than the Eagles, what has either the Giants and the Redskins done? Seriously.

This is one of your most stupid statements and that's saying quite a bit. We went 5-3, could have went 7-1 under Garrett in the second half with Kitna as the starting QB and Dez out for the season. If you cannot realize the difference this team was under Garrett compared to being under Wade, then there isn't anymore to say, other than that you are stupid.

I don't think anybody has said such a thing. People are excited about Ryan's scheme and how it could benefit and why shouldn't they? Overall, I think most are taking a wait and see approach. And once again, you amaze me with your stupidity. So Ryan is no good because he hasn't been offered a HC gig yet? So I guess the late Jim Johnson was not a good DC because he never was an HC. Same with Monte Kiffin. So at least all 60+ something DCs and OCs cannot be any good because none of them are HCs. And Ryan was considered for the HC job with the Raiders---I think he turned it down, he was considered for the Browns HC job after Mangini was canned, and he was considered for the Panthers' job. And if he is able to work his "magic" for the Cowboys, not only will he be considered for an HC but more than likely be offered. With the Cowboys, he'll get alot of visibility.

You say this team will be lucky to win 6 games. Well ok....if that's the way you feel. My question is then: now what? I mean why bother? What do we do now? Do we just do like you and fold like a pink taco? Or do we do like you and come to a messageboard and whine and moan over stuff that none of us has any control over?

Because doesn't it get kind of pointless to even bother with a team that is only going to win 6 games. You telling us we shouldn't jump on the bandwagon, but who jumps on the bandwagon of a 6-10 team? I supposed that you are not on the bandwagon, because as you say this team has some serious issues. But if this team rebounds and has a season like 2009, I imagine that your punk ass will jump right on the bandwagon.

I find it interesting that you refer to history with the invoking of Landry and Jimmy Johnson, and yet completely ignore the more recent history of 2009 when this team overcame adversity.
