:lol Awesome.

So the idea is that the government can provide something as important and complicated as healthcare, but a functional website is beyond it's capacity… Benny Hill couldn't govern any worse than this.

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — On*the deadline to sign up for health coverage through Covered California,*some hearing-impaired residents*were sent to a chat line*offering ‘hot ladies’ instead of an insurance navigator.

With the deadline looming, an Auburn man scrambled to sign up for Covered California. A*page on the site where users can calculate the cost of coverage lists an incorrect*phone number as 1-888-899-4500. The number, which was correct on the Contact Us page, is similar, but just one digit off: 1-888-889-4500.

It's actually what anyone with a moderately functioning brain should have expected. Go to any government building. Look at the employees and answer honestly if these are the people you want running your healthcare administration. Handling an auto registration renewal is an accomplishment.

They've definitely flubbed this website, but there's no need to draw asinine determinations from that. Oooh they can't even run a website. Well they can build an interstate system of transport and have the most powerful military in the world, I'm sure they'll figure this out.

They haven't been able to yet. Should have figured it out before they launched it.

You didn't say anything about having it designed right from the beginning. You just said they would figure it out.

Correction, they could authorize an act and help fund an interstate system of transport, constructed by numerous independent contractors who were able to bid on their portions of the construction. It wasn't the produce of a petty political party's idea functioning on a system of nepotism, with unrealistic goals of somehow affording people something they can't really afford. This while our nations economy is in severe decline. But hey 1956, 2014, what's the difference, right?

And no it's no assertion whatsoever, I've been in government buildings. The people that work there are aren't Rhodes Scholars; they're basically minimum wage earners who shouldn't be administering Healthcare protocol. People actually go to school for such things and make a nationwide average of 80.000 year. You think local governments are going to hire anyone like that?

Just like they figured out all the other welfare programs used to buy votes. You are correct, they will manage to purchase many more votes with this new unfunded entitlement.

Makes absolutely no sense at all that working people have to pay for this shit. None.

Which is sort of exactly what they're doing here (providing a marketplace of private insurance at low cost) just very poorly, at least from a web standpoint, so far.

This government didn't do any of that.

There was already a market place. Obama just made it more expensive and had to tell lie after lie to do so.

Which lie was the biggest?

“If you already have health insurance, the only thing that will change for you under this plan is the amount of money you will spend on premiums. That will be less.”

"No matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise: if you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period.”

oh that's right private contractors just showed up and said "let's build highway 1 on the side of a fucking mountain for no goddamn reason".
THIS government, right now.

The Obama administration can't take credit for shit that was done in like the 1930s.
