Just thought I would add that I just finished watching the week 13 game against new orleans from 1990 game. the steve walsh game...

Aikman was 11 for 11 in the second half and led the team to the win....the stadium was rocking and you can just see the belief being built in the organization.

damnit I miss texas stadium. I need to find the final two games with babe at qb. I havent been on ten yard torrents in almost two years....hope they have it.

If I'm not mistaken, we still had a chance to make the playoffs at 7-9 after losing to Atlanta. We had to wait to see if the Rams won on MNF.

Ten or 15 years from now when the NFL is playing flag football and 6000 yard passing seasons are commonplace, SP will be arguing Peyton is the GOAT and the kids will be telling him what a nostalgic old fogey he is...

Haven't been following all these Aikman vs Romo threads, but looks like sp just got owned in this one.

Thats correct, we could have been the first team with a losing record to ever make the playoffs then.

That said, if Aikman hadnt gotten hurt on the first series of that 15th game vs Philly, we'd have beaten at least one (if not both) of either Philly or Atlanta and made the playoffs.

That motherfucker Clyde Simmons slammed him to the turf, ushering in the thankfully brief Laughenburg era.

Morten anderson hit two field goals in the 4th qtr to win, a 41 yarder and then right after the rams scored to tie it at 17 the saints went down the field and kicked a 24 yarder to win and get in the playoffs.

we just beat the saints a few weeks before and they went out with a whimper at chicago.
