You guys are so hell bent on winning this year that you seriously think plugging in 2 rookies on the line is going to pay immediate dividends? C'mon now.

Hell bent on winning now. You act like Romo is 25

Cmd has been dead right about this draft from the start

I still got love for you though

Anyone notice that the new dopes from CZ are still posting in the political forum but haven't added anything about the draft

I don't know anything for certain but multiple draft people had him with the grade of 3rd round. What else are we to base these drafts on

There were also a couple of reports before the draft, one posted yesterday, where a GM or scout felt that Frederick was the best in-line blocker in 5 years, and another a few weeks back that said Frederick is a better prospect than Kevin Zeitler, who went in the 1st last year. Now, I'm not in love with the trade back to take him, but I understand their reasoning for doing so. I think they thought he wouldn't last till their 47th pick.

They were already burned once before when they didn't have a 1st round pick because of the Roy Williams trade and saw Max Unger, a C they really wanted, get snatched up a few spots before the 52nd pick in '09. Perhaps they didn't want the same thing happening this year and were trying to assure that they got their man.

They aren't going to be winning now IMO no matter what they did in this draft. Traditionally, you only get about 2 or 3 instant contributors anyways while we need about 11.

Good not great players with some reaches along the way. We added 7 guys to the roster who should make the team better. We ignored glaring weaknesses so teams will continue to beat us the same way or should I say, we will beat ourselves the same way.

These guys still don't understand that there are only so many players with 1st round grades, usually below 23-25 players in any given draft. It's really a simple concept.

'We didn't take someone with a 1st round grade on CBSSportsline at 31!!'

uh, duh, because no NFL team had 31 players with 1st round grades on them.

If we sign another quality offensive lineman we are fine...

Close to zero defensive lineman in this class would have been able to walk in and start on this team. They'd play, absolutely, but they aren't starting. I'm down to gripe w the lack of OL taken, it needs to be fixed in FA

You for sure that Frederick would have been available at 47?

There was 1 lineman (OT) taken in the whole second round. I can see your point if another center was taken or there was a run on guards. But to say he would have been there with pick #47 when only one O lineman was taken in the whole round is hogwash.

I assume most people are referring to various "draft gurus" like mike mayock ranking him a round 3, because nfl draft boards aren't published, and they actually have 32 first rd grades etc.
