But I have to say I agree with his point that Cabo trip kind of set a precedent for this team, having 2 off your supposed leaders in Cabo the week before a playoff game sends out the wrong message and it was a unneeded distraction.

I am surprised Witten does not get more crap for going on that trip or for not squashing it.

It kind of showed how the teams precedents were at that time and I blame Wade as well for allowing it to happen.

you do realize the TRIP as you called it was one day and night. The team had the freedom to do what it wanted on saturday and sunday. Terrance newman went to visit some family in kansas if I remember correctly and also If my memory serves me, spears was hunting in south texas and ratliff went home to alabama to visit family.

The injuries to Owens and Romo had alot more to do with the result of the game than the "trip" did

I am not blaming the trip on the loss but it in no way helped and it was a unneeded distraction heading into the game.

Those played a part, but the better team won.

They were not better than us in 2007. We beat them both times previously that yr, both of them rather easily.

They barely beat us that day, and they needed our two best offensive players to be severely limited as well as 2 or 3 really bad calls in their favor to beat us.
