2. Trump’s NATO Remarks​

Biden claimed former President Trump told Vladimir Putin, “Do whatever the hell you want,” regarding Russia’s invasion of Eastern Europe. But that’s not accurate.

The former president’s remarks came during a recent South Carolina rally, during which Trump recounted a story from when he was president and speaking with a NATO member. Trump purportedly told this state that he would withhold U.S. support if they didn’t pay their minimum defense spending obligations.

“‘You didn’t pay? You’re delinquent?’” Trump recalled telling the unidentified NATO member. “‘No, I would not protect you. In fact, I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want. You gotta pay. You gotta pay your bills.’”

Some thoughts on this. Biden is a serial liar but it is hard to tell if he is lying or if this is just part of his dementia.

On inflation, yes, it is down, but the increase in grocery prices as a result of the higher inflation we experiences is permanent.

On drug prices. As a senior who takes medications for diabetes and other issues, drug prices are nowhere near what patients pay in other countries. Even with insurance I am paying more for my medications now than I ever have before.

On the federal deficit, Biden continues to take credit for reducing the deficit after COVID spending bills expired. He did nothing. The bills had built in expirations dates. The excess spending stopped as a result of the structure of the spending bills which were put into law before Biden was elected. You could argue the spending cuts were to Trump's credit.

The Trump debt, of the $8 trillion in additional debt accumulated under Trump, about $7 trillion was from COVID spending authorized by a Democratically controlled congress.

On Biden's tax on those making over $400k, this is a lie. Under his plan people making under $400k will absolutely be taxed more. For Example, people filing as single, or married filing separately who make about $275k, will be taxed at the new higher rate under Biden's plan. That includes millions of Americans.

On billionaires in America, it should be noted that most billionaires in America are self-made proving that in America we do not have a aristocracy. When we talk about taxing the rich we are talking about people who are not a fixed group of people. More and more people are enjoying massive wealth because America is still the land of opportunity where anyone with an idea and a willingness to work hard can become wealthy.

Jordan Fuchs, an employee of the Georgia State Department made the recording while in Florida but did not inform the other attendees on the call that she was recording them. Florida is a 2 party consent states, meaning you cannot record a conversation unless all parties to the conversation are informed. If this report in the book is true, the judge could be forced to throw out the phone call and transcripts, as well as other evidence related to the phone call. Remember, Linda Tripp was indicted for recording phone conversations with Monica Lewinsky in Maryland, another 2 party consent state. Tripp was not prosecuted because she took a plea deal.
