Pres. Biden, in his comments today, said that "abortion was a Constitutional right..."
Joe, please show me in the US Constitution where the right to an abortion is enumerated....
Joe also said that "the SC overturned the right to an abortion in the US" ... Joe, abortion is still legal in many states. But NONE of this will be Fact-Checked by the corrupt media...
He also mentioned the right to privacy which is not mentioned in the constitution either. And how does banning abortion even effect a person's right to privacy? Why is abortion a privacy issue but vaccination is not?
The constitution, to me, is very clear. And in this case the SCOTUS got it exactly right. Important social decisions should be left up to the people to decide. After all, societies set their own social norms. Leaving these decisions to 9 unelected judges is not allowing the people to govern themselves.
Libs have two choices. They can vote in state elections and elect representatives that will vote to allow abortions in their states, or they can win enough elections nationwide to elect a congress that will codify legalized abortion - although I don't see how this would be any more constitutional than Roe v Wade. It seems to me we would need a constitutional amendment to legalize abortion all over the country.
Liberals know they cannot win this battle in the voting booth so they want to force it on the country using their hand-picked justices.
And by the way, while we are on the subject, gay marriage was another social issue the courts imposed on the country. If this the next domino to fall?
