It scares me to death, too. I can't believe an outright socialist has this many people believing in him. Good chance we're screwed in the future no matter what happens this cycle.

But for now, I guess I'm banking on his not being electable in a general election. It would really suck to be wrong about that. :(

Do they really "believe" in him, or is it just that most abhor that corrupt piece of garbage Clinton and feel like she's likely to be indicted (rightfully)

There is no difference at all. Those people are liars. Attempts to explain it like there is a difference are attempts to sell you more lies.

Private ownership will cease to exist if Bernie is elected just as it has ceased to exist throughout the rest of the planet.

Bernie would have serious problems getting any of his proposals through Congress, or any of them standing up to Constitutional scrutiny.

Those get challenged in court too, and also can be stopped by Congress if they act quickly. Additionally, any of it that includes any spending or tax increases can't be enforced - ONLY Congress controls the purse strings.

Rigth now its racism if you oppose anything King Obama wants to do

With The Bern it'll be hatred of old people or something.

Well, it's not exactly opposition when executive mandates aren't funded. Funny thing is, not ONE Democrat ever put forth a spending bill to fund any of Obama's executive actions that required funding. In fact no one has even tried to pack any of that into unrelated bills. So they're worth about exactly the same as the paper they are printed on.

Different story of course, for XA's that don't require funding. Those take the effect of law as soon as they are entered into the Congressional record. BUT, can be challenged in court.

Saw an article today that had the first national polls released since Iowa results, and Trump's lead fell. He now has 25%, Cruz and Rubio both had 21%

I would just vote for state and local candidates if that happened. Rubio is a treacherous, donor-class rent boy who will repel the base.

Sanders now tied In some national polls with Clinton.

Also read a report that said Clinton was spending more money on polling data than 6 Republican candidates COMBINED

Didn't watch debate last night but seems its a consensus that Rubio got killed.

I read Trump and Christie killed it. One of the writers said this was proof that had Trump simply shown up for the Iowa debate he'd have won easily there.

Yeah, Rubio was awful at the outset, answering with a scripted mantra 3 times and Christie just whaled (pun intended) on him for it. He never really recovered. Unfortunate though, because he stated often that Obama isn't a bumbling fool, but calculated in his actions, which is true. The only one to broach the most important matter facing the U.S. Trump disagreed, which is why I still say he's a Democrat, and the audience ate it up and just booed Rubio. Idiot Christie also got in on that. If you can't admit the President is a traitor, you're never going to have a sound defense against treason. Ignorant bunch of clowns in this country.

Trump did much better this time, he abandoned the childishness and just talked tough. Carson and Kasich barely got a word in edge-wise and Cruz, like Rubio, is a political robot, sticking to a pre-arranged script. Because of that Trump appears more natural and relatable. Bush is generally forgettable...

No surprise last night. Rubio just isn’t that smart, and he relies on memorized sound bites and anecdotes to get him through debates and interviews. But to repeat the same canned phrase four times was moronic even for him.

Yeah....Rubio surprised me. I guess I fell for it and his performance in last night's debate is going to make me re-think where I stand on some of these candidates. They are all seriously flawed with no clear cut favorite.

Trump might be set up to go on a serious roll now. I think if Rubio had killed it last night he could have made things interesting, but him struggling probably ends it for him. I like Cruz but he wont win either.

Trump is going to win New Hampshire and he's in good shape in both S Carolina and Nevada

I wonder who his VP choice would be.

Yep. Rubio's performance really opened the door for Trump to take command. He can go 2 ways for VP; either pick a conservative candidate to appease the base or pick someone outside the beltway like Ben Carson who may be able to split the minority/black vote. It'll be interesting.
