So he owns radio station as well
No but it's the "flagship" for DC football and contractually Jerry gets say in personnel covering the game or reporting on it. He exercised this one time before, firing Dale Hanson from color commentary.

The brilliance that's missing. Norv's fantastic groundbreaking concepts, mated with Troy's incredible brain and arm talent. You don't see this, even today.

Mafia Don threw a shit fit when Jimmy fired his dipshit son after the 1990 season and basically swore Jimmy would never succeed in the NFL. Then he blocked him from hiring OC Gary Stevens (who was with him at U of Miami).

I think Norv was actually Jimmy's 3rd choice as OC that offseason. Norv got railed on for his time as a HC in Washington and Oakland, but I often wonder how it would have turned out for him had he known Jerry and Jimmy were going to divorce and would have stayed in Dallas. He would have been the HC instead of Switzer and a whole lot of history could have changed.

jerry did do one other VERY important thing, he wrote a million+ dollar check to pay Herschel to accept the trade and that wasnt easy for him at the time because he was stretched ridiculously thin financially plus Walker was probably the most marketable player on the roster so he deserves credit for making it happen

its just too damn bad that this, getting credit for hiring Jimmy (and doing the thing Schramm couldnt do when he wanted to hire Jimmy..fire Landry) and owning the Cowboys isnt enough to satisfy his fragile ego but alas, here we are 30+ years later and nothing has changed
