Unclear what the problem is. Burrough is former party chair. Former director of house ways and means, and put forward a bill to halt the nutty property tax inflation going on. There's been exactly zero controversy with him.

You want EVERY Republican to be hated by Dems and not acceptable?

There is an app you can download that tracks the portfolios of members of congress and other famous people. It's called dub. It lets you model your own portfolio to match theirs and notifies you when they make trades etc. A lot of these people were heavily invested in NVidia and other tech companies which explains why they were doing so well.

What I don't know is if these people have managed accounts, meaning they do not trade their own stocks, someone else does it for them without their knowledge or consent, or if they are making their own investment decisions. Managed accounts are very common in the financial industry. Employees of investment banks for example, cannot trade stocks freely. All transactions have to be approved by the company. I remember once a long time ago I wanted to sell some AMD stock and they would not let me. They don't tell you why, they just withhold approval. The process was avoid problems with insider trading. And guess who would be the antagonists of these cases? The government! So why they allow congress to trade freely while regulating the trading of bank employees, even tech guys like me, is the question.

:D

I am not a fan of mandates like this, but I understand why California wants to clean up its air quality. What I don't understand is why California does not build more public transportation infrastructure. Are earthquakes a problem for rail systems?
