You know what is really astonishing? They are still using the number 11 million as the number of illegal aliens in the country which was derived from the 2010 census. By now the number has to be close to 25 million or even 30 million.

This is what happens when we elect imbeciles to congress. This clown clearly has no idea how an economy works and probably doesn't know a thing about economics. First, raising the minimum wages to $50 will end profits for every fast food restaurant in America, or it will force them to automate their stores putting hundreds of thousands or workers on the unemployment line.
But let's assume that didn't happen, how much would a burger a McDonalds cost if there were $50 an hour workers assembling the sandwich? Prices in every category of consumer products would skyrocket. In no time prices would rise the level of the minimum wages and people would be right back where they were except the dollar would be worth 4 times less than it was.
I once calculated that the increase of the minimum wage to $15 nationwide would cost Chipotle about $2 billion, more than halving their annual profits at the time. No corporation is going to just eat half their profits. They are going to find a way to shed costs or raise prices. It has to happen.

Pretty good summation of the hearing. There is so much going on here. If we buy all the stories Willis and Wade told yesterday, she admitted to taking campaign funds for personal use. She also admitted to potential money laundering. Wade admitted to defrauding his own company by charging expenses to the company, then getting reimbursed by Fani. Trump was charged with fraud for categorizing reimbursements to Michael Cohen as legal fees. Talk about a double standard.
But despite this, I still have doubts the judge will disqualify her from the Trump RICO case. I expect Wade may become the fall guy while Fani slips away unscathed.
