Yes, the corruption started long before Garland was appointed as AG. It goes back to when Obama was president. Remember Fast and Furious? No one was punished for that mess. The IRS targeting of conservatives? No one was punished for that, or all the lying to congress. Remember when all those emails were lost because of 8 hard drive failures on one IRS department in a course of about 2 months? The probability of that happening is almost 0. Lois Lerner left her job after lying repeatedly to congress but was never prosecuted. Obama had his "wingman" in the AG's office. How about Loretta Lynch telling Comey not to call the Hillary email investigation and investigation? Make no mistake, it was Obama who corrupted the DOJ, we are only dealing with that now. Trump let Comey and his clique survive and it just worked against him.

At this point, the DOJ is just a DNC operation. Almost 2 dozen whistleblowers have come forward to allege partisanship in the DOJ. It is completely ignored. Imagine what the DOJ will do with all its resources to protect itself from the possibility of a Republican president intent on cleaning out the corruption? The problem is too many Republicans do not realize the Democrats are fight a war - against them.

Good post. Republicans have no idea of the enemy they're facing. They're ruthless and will lie, cheat and steal to maintain power so their ideology is promoted.

I was in DC during some of the Obama years and I could start to see a change at DoJ and other agencies I worked with. I couldn't put my finger on it then but people were like zombies just promoting policies that made no sense. I wasn't wired to think of politics or ideology so it never entered my mind. And these ideologues hire and promote people just like them. That's the #1 factor and it's easy to see how the DoJ and DC agencies have been so completely corrupted. And it's to the point of no return.

More than $200 billion in pandemic relief potentially squandered, says government watchdog report

The sum amounts to approximately 17% of the $1.2 trillion dispersed by SBA.

My new career is in the fraud industry and I can tell you the number and percent is FAR higher. If someone told me the fraud rate was more like 50% or more I wouldn't blink an eye.

Banks, especially small internet banks, gave these loans out without any due diligence. None. They gave them to companies who were incorporated post Covid for the sole purpose of applying for PPP loans. PPP loans were calculated on 2019 revenues and expenses so any companies created post Covid weren't eligible. You had crooks applying for loans using dozens of bogus companies and receiving millions of dollars. And investigating these cases is time consuming and complicated, as investigators have to track the money movement through dozens of bank accounts. So instead they target the fool who only stole funds through one company while the large scale crooks get away with it.

And this is why 87,000 new IRS agents is not a good idea. They'll never target the large corporations with their stable of accountants and lawyers. They'll go after Mom and Pop and the low hanging fruit. Laziness is the government way.

Should have never been any other way. Turning down overly qualified, gifted individuals (whether for higher education or in the job world) in the name of DIE (diversity, inclusion & equity) and/or simply race is a 100% recipe for FAILURE. We've been set behind for decades now and especially the last 20 yrs) because universities and employers have employed this ridiculous agenda.
