I would argue that Biden's plan violates the Equal Protection clause of the 14th amendment, but believe it or not, there is no equal protection mandate for the federal government. If a state implemented a debt forgiveness plan like Biden's the state could be sued for violating the equal protection clause, but the federal government cannot.

You'd think this was a mistake but it is more like an oversight, and the result of the growth of the federal government way beyond what anyone in the past could have envisioned.

Is it fair the Biden will forgive the debt of some people and not others? No. In America, it should be all or none. Personally, I think it should be none because to me, once you sign a contract you have to live by that contract. If you bury yourself in debt that is your bad decision and no one else should have to pay for it.
