You mean like Cowboyszone? lol

yes, thus why I havent been there in years

there's as close to no moderation as you can get here and we never have a problem; the people who cant handle unrestricted dialogue leave in a huff while lobbing "acceptable" pejoratives upon their departure. Ironically, they'd pearl clutch over swear words with far less meaning or weight, its astonishing to me how afraid people are of words & dialogue

case in point:

I have noticed a lot of liberals on X have restricted replies on their accounts now. Why go on a social media platform and then restrict replies so only people you follow can reply to your comments. That defeats the purpose of a platform like X which is supposed to be a place to exchange Idea and opinions? These people live in a bubble and they are sealing their bubbles even tighter to avoid hearing any counter arguments to their thinking. This is how extremism develops.

'Scientific American editor steps down after election comments draw backlash''

Laura Helmuth announced her resignation as editor-in-chief of the Scientific American on Thursday after facing backlash for comments she made on Bluesky about the 2024 election and voters.

''Helmuth’s decision comes shortly after she was criticized for social media posts about the Nov. 5 election. In a series of Bluesky posts, which were later deleted, Helmuth wrote that “my Gen X is so full of f---ing fascists.” In another, she wrote, “Solidarity to everybody whose meanest, dumbest, most bigoted high school classmates are celebrating early results because f--k them to the moon and back...”

From my experience trying to talk to people like this, they have zero interest in mutually enlightening dialogue.

They want to rant and rave while arrogantly proclaiming their position as indisputable truth never to be questioned and anyone who has the audacity to do so is a "right-winger", conspiracy theorist, racist, etc who should be summarily dismissed and ignored.

They want praise, attaboys and worship from those who attend their "church" where all attendees must listen with bated breath to their fiery sermons.

Allowing opposing thought on their social media pages would be tantamount to platforming them and we cannot have that so they don't blink an eye at blocking contradictory opinions or information, it would be too soul crushing for them to discover they might not have cornered the market on truth like they think they have.

This is utterly demonic. How is something like this basically back page news?

the use of pronouns today makes stories like this so confusing

Is this couple both biological males? I think the killer was but don't know about his/her husband or wife, this crap is so frigging convoluted I can barely write out my damn question

I'm guessing the "prominent" author is a woman parading around as a man.
Their pronouns are demented/demonic.

This is some last days shit.

Cry HARDER Dems ! ! !

Democrats are attacking the religious faith of several of President-elect Donald Trump’s nominees for senior positions, risking a confrontation with the Constitution, which prohibits the use of religious tests for public office.

Pete Hegseth, who is Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Defense, has been criticized for his tattoos, one of which features a Jerusalem cross. Another includes a Crusader motto that, critics say, has been appropriated by far-right groups.

Meanwhile, former Gov. Mike Huckabee, who has been nominated to serve as U.S. Ambassador to Israel, has been criticized by Democratic Senators specifically for his religious views about the Jews’ right to the Land of Israel.

This is how are most revered institutions lose the trust of the people. Science, which should be pure, has been polluted by politics because of people like Laura Helmuth. Now, whoever reads Scientific American has to filter everything they read though a political prism. Shameful. I understand she was forced from her position. Now SA has to do something to ensure their readers that they will once again follow the science and not taint their articles with the stench of politics.

The confirmation hearings for Trump's appointees are going to me fire.

We used to call women like this ugly, but I suppose that is no longer politically correct. But the fact is she is obese, and very unattractive. I don't honestly care except we do not want other young people to think that looking like this is okay. Obesity is the number 1 killer of Americans and if there is a health care crisis it is at least partially the result of so many American being morbidly obese.

It is not okay to look like this person (male or female, you never know today). Young people need to eat healthier, eat less and get off their fat asses and get some exercise.
