But his career was wasted under Jerry!
I fixed that for you.
It doesn't matter really, one fuck who was coaching the team while Romo quarterbacked. He was still going to be a bad risk taker, a china doll just like Parcells said, and just a yuk-yuk good ole boy, small college kid made good. That's really as far as - deep inside - he really wanted to take this whole football deal. Remember, search your brain now because this one is hard - Romo said Garrett is a great coach. You with me now?
Romo's career was "wasted," mostly by Romo himself. He wasn't a victim of Garrett, or really even a casualty of Jerry's. He did
himself in, pretty much.
And hey look - he's done really well for himself and continues to do so. Now he will be getting paid millions to do what he really does best - smile, yuk-yuk and chat. So it's not ALL a waste.
How many quarterbacks can get paid 100 million, do absolutely nothing really, and then get paid millions by TV to sit in the booth and comment on games? There's no waste here. Every quarterback who ever started at least 5 years' worth of games, their career is "wasted" if they don't win a Lombardi? Or, just widdle Romo?
Stop it. His career wasn't "wasted."
