Is he the answer at the number 2 slot.
28 catches on the year for 444 yards

He seems to disappear in a lot of games

Is he not getting open?
Not enough balls to go around?
Gameplan?

Maybe they're saving that multi-pronged attack for the playoffs. Suddenly you'll get Escobar, Williams and Beasley running wild on ya.

Don't think he's a very good player for number 2. His downfield blocking has been solid though - very alert to the whole of the play. They need speed and fearlessness at number 2. T-Willy is not fast and intermittently gets tentative with his catching. Wish Beasley was 2 and T-Willy was 3 for his downfield blocking at least.

THIS is what I have been hoping to see for some time now. THAT is the kind of planning that takes LOTS of patience AND confidence they get to the next level.

Romo's completing almost 70% of his passes right now, unless you believe its reasonable that he's gonna get that up to around 80%, I'm not sure how many balls you expect the guy that's the 4th option in the offense to catch.

Williams has 28 catches and 6 tds through 11 games. He also averages 16 yds per catch. He's on pace for 40-45 catches and 8-10 TD's. That's pretty good for a 2nd WR in a run oriented offense that's the 4th option on most pass plays.

I know an easy way to get him more catches: Hand the playbook back to Garrett. We'll be throwing the ball 45 times again and everyone will have more catches.

Again, why is it that despite Jason's pitiful discernment, poor judgment, and history of naive gambles based on simple ignorance, you (Dbair)automatically concede that the current anemia should not be remedied? It really doesn't matter where a player was drafted or what his rank was by the scouts, if his pro performance begins to drop; if he has a history of not extending his arms (except for the sideline catch), being tentative, and not playing in a way that Dallas needs him to as the second WR then change is necessary. He is not fast, not quick, and not aggressive and not physical. "Targeted" does not mean that the play was meant for him, it means that the pass was intended for him. He is 28 for 49 targets and he plays the 3rd WR role well averaging just over two catches per game and four targets per game. That's not a 2...that's three. Plus he just doesn't offer a counter threat to Dez. He just finds a few downfield plays per game. Now Beasley who is faster than T-Willy, can jump higher, is quicker in space and needs less time to get open (which is one of the most important parts of this terrible passing scheme) is a contrast player to Dez who causes a threat on every passing play. Beasley is tougher and more reliable as a WR with 18 receptions from 23 targets (if you double that to measure the ratio to T-Willy it's 36 of 46 which is better than T-Willy). Say what you will about Miles Austin but there was nothing mediocre about his physical ability, toughness, speed, jumping ability and threats to the secondary. Beasley offers something that Terrance does not and cannot. But Terrance would make a very good #3. Keep t-Willys 2 catches per game the same and bring in a player who will at least offer the possibility of keeping the QB from getting sacked.
