I NEVER liked Garrett. He was responsible for a terrible redzone offense when he was OC. In Denver 2009, we tried to run Barber up the middle on the goaline 3 TIMES, and it didn't work. He got some flack about that, so the next week when a similar situation presented itself, he called 3 throws in a row. Only Garrett would do something like that, and I imagine in his head he was like, "they won't expect that to happen a 3rd time."
The ice-ice Bailey game, not knowing when to call a timeout against the Ravens (could have ran another play to get 3 more yards so Bailey isn't attempting a 51yd fg..that he missed), same thing with the patriots at Gillette Stadium, letting the packers earn their largest come from behind victory b REFUSING to run the ball while up like 24 points; they could NOT stop Murray, etc.
I'm not convinced that Garrett is actually safe if we don't do better than 8-8.
