Think Dallas and spencer are working on a deal. They just didnt want to lose him for anything. I dont agree with it, but i dont think spencers cap will be 8mil this yr. he hasnt signed it.

Leading up until the combine there were very little discussions between the two, IIRC.

I would like to think that Dallas is working on a contract like the one Brooks' got but I think there's more going on to be honest.

I wonder if they are going to target a FA player and if it falls through they rely on the tag being there for Spencer and then try to work a deal.

They can't realistically wait until the draft and hope to land a guy because even if they do, there will be no free agents worth spending the freed up money on.

I really don't know what they are thinking........I'm not sure they are at this point.

At this point, a deal like Brooks' is the best we can hope for. Playing under the tag is the absolute worst case scenario.

I hope there's something going on behind the scenes. I don't think Spencer is anything more than average. But you have to consider that what ware and Spencer had in front of them no wonder their numbers aren't better. Imo you fix the dl everything else falls in place. I think finding a ilb to with lee is more important than a olb. Wether that's carter or somebody not on the team it needs to be addressed. Nt ilb safety. See a trend? Middle of the defense was the biggest issue on this team. Middle of the ol. Lol
