I believe that you are missing the entire point as to what dbair was talking about. The fact is, that the Cowboys went from 6-10 to 8-8, while the Eagles won the division last year, and then went on a super shopping spree, and everyone and their mommas predicted that they would win the Super Bowl. Not only did tha tno happen, but the dream team did not even win the division, but did not even make the playoffs, nor had a winning record.

8-8 is still 8-8...we lose a tie breaker to them for things like scheduling for next year (or playoffs, had it applied) but what I responded to was "they finished ahead of us" which implies they won more games. When in fact we finished tied with them for 2nd place because we were both 8-8
