IRVING, Texas -- Hall of Fame offensive lineman Bruce Matthews is interviewing with the Dallas Cowboys Monday about an assistant offensive line coach position, according to multiple sources.
Matthews played for offensive line coach Hudson Houck at Southern Cal and was the ninth overall pick of the 1983 draft. Matthews, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2007 after reaching the Pro Bowl in 14 of his 19 seasons, spent the last two seasons as an offensive assistant with the Houston Texans.
Last week former Cowboys tight end Dan Campbell, who was an assistant with Miami in 2010, interviewed for the same position and is scheduled to meet with Houck on Tuesday for a follow-up.
