More on the Cowboys
Calvin Watkins, Tim MacMahon and Todd Archer have the Dallas Cowboys blanketed.

Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Josh Brent would like to attend the memorial service for teammate Jerry Brown on Tuesday, but doesn't know if he will because he wants to be respectful and is said to be "devastated," a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter on Monday.

Brent, who was accused of driving drunk and causing the fatal accident that killed the 25-year-old Brown, was released from an Irving, Texas, jail Sunday on $500,000 bond.

Cowboys spokesman Rich Dalrymple said the team was planning a private memorial service for Tuesday in the Dallas area.

Brent and Brown were teammates at the University of Illinois, and attorney George Milner said Brown was living with Brent during the six weeks he spent as a member of the Cowboys' practice squad.

"Jerry Brown was my very best friend, and I'm just trying to deal with his death right now," Brent said Sunday.

According to a probable cause affidavit released Sunday by Irving police, officers said they detected "a moderate odor of alcohol" from Brent's breath and that he "admitted to consuming alcohol at a club," but wouldn't identify which one. Police said Brent gave a blood sample Saturday at the hospital.

Any idea what happens if it turns out he wasn't intoxicated? What do the charges change to, vehicular homicide?

He was drunk. He had to postpone his meeting with a judge the following morning on account of still being intoxicated.

^^^ agreed to an extent.

It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't type thing.

I think he looks significantly worse if he doesn't go.

Well, then that's it for him, no? No point in Dallas entertaining any thoughts of him being part of the team now or going forward. How many years will he get for this minimum?

Not to be insensitive, but this may force the fake GM to go out and get a big NT now that both currently on the roster, won't be next year.

Maybe we'll get that big fat shit in the middle that all successful 34s have.

Jerra likes a quick, fast nose tackle. It worked at Arkansas in the 60's, it works now.

God damn that pisses me off. Just let your "best friend" beg to be saved from a burning car while you bitch that he "doesn't want to" come out.

Then abandon him in the middle of the street.

And this piece of shit is going to the memorial service??????

Josh Brent is fucking scum. He left his friend to die in the car, had to be coerced into saving him, then abandoned him in the street. Rot in prison you piece of shit.

She sounds like a blacker and skinnier version of Hostile.

I wonder how many weaves she tried on for her big interview.

If I came up on the scene of a wreck, I'm running to save someone. I'm not repeatedly yelling at the wasted guy to help. Why did she run back to grab her cell phone after being made aware that an ambulance was already on the way?

By the way, Brent is a shitty person who made a HUGEEEE mistake, but I do not need to be convinced of that by some bitch looking to gain a little fame from this tragedy.
