I don't see them neglecting a historically bad defense in favor of a guard/RT. because the o-line was adequate last year, that will encourage Jerry to ignore it for the first three rounds, imo.

You're underestimating Jerry and Monte's admiration for Wilbust and Church.

I wouldnt blame them for drafting defense with the first 3 picks and the majority of our picks overall. They need the help badly.

Just saying he said himself that an OL in first round was a possibility.
