Cut him to make room for Sanchez.

No complaints here. Best of luck to Showers but he isn't ever going to be an NFL QB.

Showers will make his way to the PS

Right because the suck on him is so strong nobody will claim him - but Jerry will continue his little social justice welfare project.

He progressed as a QB from where he was last year. If he does make it to the practice squad I think he'll be even better next year, after another season/off season under his belt. Probably good enough to challenge for the backup spot.

He didn't "progress" any at all. He's not a quarterback. They need to spend their time making him a slot receiver who doubles as a KR/PR if they want him to have a NFL career.

Completely disagree. He barely played QB at all last year. This year, although he's not on the same level as Dak he already got a shot to focus on QB only and even though made some mistakes he also made some nice plays.

Also if they were going to move home to a different position I would move him to safety not WR. He'd be strictly a ST guy though.

Next to zero college experience. Backed up Tannehill, then Manziel. Transferred to UTEP and had some experience but not anything noteworthy. Missed 5 games there due to injury. And we all saw, he is NOT a quarterback. He is a athlete but then so are 60 other guys. Not particularly fast or strong, and not overly bright obviously.

And he failed, then was cut because of his performance

But somehow, he was kept on the team, brought through training camp, given playing time in preseason, etc.

It's just embarrassing. But it's even more just aggravating that this is probably a case of a family friend or favor of Garrett's. While the rest of the league stocks up good players even for depth, Dallas has Matt Johnson's, Kellen Moores, Showers, Streets, Wilcox, and my good friend TWilly.
