He's gonna get all charges dropped. Did anyone think the corrupt inept NM state govt would really convict a hollywood star and risk the state losing it as a customer? They've already destroyed the pistol, now their prosecutor is obviously compromised. The fix is in.

It's been botched from the jump, by all starting with the NM state police and on up.

Because hollywood does a lot of filming in NM. So if some people catch a case of lead poisoning here and there, oh well.

Oh wait - did the hack find a R to blame? She did the right thing stepping down. The IDIOT in the room is the clown who appointed her special prosecutor. And no, Reeb didn't destroy the pistol. Read up, look less ignorant.

In a statement Thursday night, Morrissey and Lewis said "new facts were revealed that demand further investigation and forensic analysis in the case."

"Consequently, we cannot proceed under the current time constraints and on the facts and evidence turned over by law enforcement in its existing form. We therefore will be dismissing the involuntary manslaughter charges against Mr. Baldwin to conduct further investigation," they said. "This decision does not absolve Mr. Baldwin of criminal culpability and charges may be refiled. Our follow-up investigation will remain active and ongoing."

The special prosecutors said the charges against Gutierrez-Reed "remain unchanged." A status conference is scheduled for Friday.

THE question no one has asked yet is, why was he pointing a firearm, loaded or not, at his director and director of photography in the first place? AND pulling the trigger? The gun shouldn't even be in his hands unless filming is taking place, and then do you point the gun at people who are off-camera? Ever?

You and I are firearms trained, and for me this is ringing some alarm bells.
You're raising a valid concern. In firearms training, one of the primary rules is to never point a gun at something you're not willing to shoot. This holds true whether the firearm is loaded or not. In a film set, safety protocols should strictly limit who handles guns and where they're aimed, even during rehearsals or blocking. If a firearm is being used, strict oversight is necessary to ensure safety, including checking that the weapon is not loaded and that it's used only in controlled, on-camera situations. Deviation from these protocols can have tragic consequences, as you've highlighted.
