Sensabaugh signing a 1yr deal means he had better perform in camp, or he may not be here in week one.

I really didnt want to see him back, but on a 1yr deal its more tolerable.

I still hope we sign Brodney Pool.

You said that about Sam Hurd last year.

I would expect more from you if it wasn't for the whole you're an absolute moron thing.

When we need to ask you something about Smith from his college days, we will jerk your chain. Otherwise, sit in your corner and lap your water and eat your biscuit.

That's the problem. Cowboys fan have only those two guys to rely on for our team's future. Think of it this way, if you were an Eagles fan and Rob was your DC, you could be excited about Nnamdi, jenkins, DRC, Samuel, Cole, Babin. I would take six in-their-prime pro bowlers over two. Newman is old, Jenkins and Spencer are unproven, and we have only serviceable DEs.

You are vastly overstating some of this. DRC has had one consistent yr and a couple of very up and down ones. Samuel gives up as many plays as he makes and thats why the Eagles acquired two other CB's, to replace him. He's also the worst tackling CB in the league. For that matter NA isnt a good tackler either. Jason Babin is 31 yrs old and before last yr had never had a season with mroe than 4 or 5 sacks.

Ware and Ratliff are elite players who are probably both going to have monster seasons playing for Ryan. Anthony Spencer could have a huge yr. Newman and Jenkins are good players. Marcus Spears and Kenyon Coleman are solid role players. Sean Lee could be an extremely good player in this scheme. And there's absolutely no comparison whatsoever between Rob Ryan and the OL coach Philly has running their defense.

*sigh* More idiots coming out the woodwork. Must be sbk's revenge. Gee... I recall that when the Cowboys went 11-5 in 2009 I assume you are referring to, the Eagles also went 11-5. We beat them in the first round of the playoffs. The Packers also went 11-5 and lost to the Cardinals in the first round. In addtion there was a Saitnjs team that eventually became the SB Champs. So how the fuck you sit up here and say the NFC was not strong that year when they produced the SB Champs?

I never said the Saints weren't strong. ATL didn't go 13-3 in 09. GB's talent wasn't realized in 09. The Eagles didn't have Nnamdi, Jenkins, Babin, DRC, Vick as a starter in 09. My point isn't even about 09. It's about what happened after that. All of those teams improved. All of those teams added talent. Whether it was the draft or free agency, all of those teams elevated the total level of talent in the NFC. Jerry Jones just sat around thinking "Hmmm we just got raped by 30+ points by the Vikings and we are going to win the Superbowl with this team." THAT's what the Cowboys did wrong. All these teams are improving. We aren't.

Anytime you would like to debate all things Dallas Cowboys feel free. Otherwise, stick to being the one guy on this board who makes sbk look tolerable. I've yet to see a half-intelligent take from you.

I understand you completely. It's just frustrating that this front office has done nothing significant to add more elite talent. I mean, we are the Dallas Cowboys!!! 20 years ago, we could have gone out there and gotten anyone we wanted to and everyone wanted to wear the star. Now, we have to bargain with guys like Abram Elam.

I confused. We have added Dez Bryant, Tyron Smith, Sean Lee, Demarco Murray, David Arkin, josh brent, dwayne harris and will hopefully see the development of Victor Butler, john phillips, brandon williams, kevin ogletree, barry church.

That is adding. That is staying young and developing.

I am so confused by this line of thinking. when this team signed free agents in the past to critical positions they were skewered for not developing their own talent. Now that we are doing that they are getting the business for not signing free agents.

I understand the angst of namdi, he would have helped for sure. he didnt want to be here, nothing we can do about it.

but most other areas have been taken care of inhouse...I mean are you going to replace the core guys in ware, romo, witten, ratliff, free etc...we have the critical positions set and are developing players behind the veteran starters.

Right guard and safety should be of great concern to all of us. I think personally I am worried about andre gurode and terrance newman really falling off in their level of play one of these years but I will have to see that first....

otherwise I think we are ok. With a good staff and a productive camp I am not so sure why everyone is freaking out that we wont be a competitive team..

You mention Dallas getting roasted by 30+ and then doing nothing, what exactly has Atlanta done after giving up almost 60 pts pts in a home ass whipping loss in the playoffs?

Oh wait, they traded like 10 draft picks to move up in the draft for Julie Jones! GREAT MOVE!!!

in the late 80s no one wanted to play here. No one and the guys who were here were just playing out their days for checks..

that all changed as they committed to building from within and made good decisions, assembled a good staff and put in the work.

This notion that no one wants to play here or jerry has no money is asinine.

But there is talent here, and some of it has cost us alot to retain.

In 1989 the team had 2 or 3 good players, no salary cap and traded one guy away for a ton of picks and players. This is nothing like then.

Yeah Im not an ATL fan so I don't care about what they did in the draft or how good they think they are, but they didn't go 6-10. We didn't even make the playoffs.
