, have you read the book of Revelation? (New Testament). Plenty death and torture for unbelievers. If you actually read and paid attention, i gave you Acts 5 (New Testament), story of the married couple that god killed on the spot for simply lying to the disciples. Very reminiscent of the old testament god. Your bible also says God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). In other words, old or new testament, same god. He didn’t change his mind.
Have you ever heard of The Crusaders? They killed thousands in the name of christ. Also, read the Book of of Martyrs. The happy-go-lucky church you know today was not how it was in the past.
Acts 5 doesn't say that God killed them, it says they dropped dead when they heard what the apostles told them. Aside from that, my response was to your post about Christianity being about killing unbelievers and then you quoted the Old Testament which is as I side the Old Covenant of God.
Christianity is about Jesus and the teaching of Christ the New Covenant with God, not the old Laws of the Old Testament. Jesus said He without sin cast the first stone. He also said love your neighbor as yourself.
He didn't say if you are a Christian kill non Christians. He didn't say love your neighbor unless they are Gay, Black, Hispanic, Hostile, etc.
You are going to bring up the Crusades, people will pervert any religion or any thing that people believe in passionately (look at the NRA) to gain what the want (Riches, political gain, land, power, access, many of these were reasons for the Crusades, other than Christianity), by spouting half truths and innuendo.
Christianity isn't bad, I don't care that you don't believe but at least be willing to hear a different point of view with out showing your obvious disdain.
