Things like this are the reason our founding fathers had the good sense to have a separation of fairy tales and state. Look, in the holy books they killed people for things like witchcraft and picking up sticks on the sabbath. That's because they thought things like witchcraft and gods were real, and had real impact on our day to day lives. Fortunately most people today are realistic enough to enjoy the fairy tale while realizing it is such and ignoring it for the most part in their day to day lives, at least until somebody tries to do something really offensive like gay marry a pumpkin. But the point is that these fairy tales should not impact our lives or government AT ALL, in any manner, which is why it's so alarming that conservatives (who have been hijacked by the religious right movement of god, guns and anti-gays) are so unabashedly and retardedly "christian" in their approach to policy.

Get the fuck over it, none of it is real. Time to realize that before we start imprisoning sorcerers again. Move forwards, not backwards.

If we give up the belief in devils and evil spirits, we are compelled to say that a witch never lived. No sensible human being now believes in witchcraft. We know that it was a delusion. We now know that thousands and thousands of innocent men, women and children were tortured and burned for having been found guilty of an impossible crime, and we also know, if our minds have not been deformed by faith, that all the books in which the existence of witches is taught were written by ignorant and superstitious men. We also know that the Old Testament asserted the existence of witches. According to that Holy Book, Jehovah was a believer in witchcraft, and said to his chosen people: "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live."

This one commandment -- this simple line -- demonstrates that Jehovah was not only not God, but that he was a poor, ignorant, superstitious savage. This one line proves beyond all possible doubt that the Old Testament was written by men, by barbarians.

John Wesley was right when he said that to give up a belief in witchcraft was to give up the Bible.

If you are talking about the racist christian thread, there were a number of posters involved. I made one post, others responded to it and i replied back. It’s usually the christians that get their panties in a wad. I have made comments on a number of subjects. Unfortunately, religion is one of those subjects i know too much about.

Read Acts 5 (new testament) where god kills a married couple for lying to him. You feel you can trust the new testament, but the books about Christ weren’t written till some 40 years later. A huge gap.

When i talk about religion being pushed on me, i am not talking about on this forum. I don’t think i have seen a single post that has done that. The two threads i did post in were anti-religious which falls directly into my line of thinking. Look at you showing ignorance. Deuteronomy is the Old Testament, the old Convenant with God. The New Testament is the new covenant with God. You won't find any of that in the testament.

The problem with most non believers is they quote whatever they can find on an internet source as proof positive that Christians are blood thirsty mother fuckers that would by the grace of their own God kill you rather than look at you. Usually followed by something that happened some 300 or 400 years ago as proof positive of that fact all the while decrying that the Islamic folks are just misunderstood, today. Christians have been neutered, Muslims haven't. If you are looking for some religion to hate on. Hate on the one that is still beheading folks and telling women they can't even handle a cucumber lest the Devil get in their loins as they drive their cars to and from the grocery store and cause them to fuck the baggage boy.

, have you read the book of Revelation? (New Testament). Plenty death and torture for unbelievers. If you actually read and paid attention, i gave you Acts 5 (New Testament), story of the married couple that god killed on the spot for simply lying to the disciples. Very reminiscent of the old testament god. Your bible also says God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). In other words, old or new testament, same god. He didn’t change his mind.

Have you ever heard of The Crusaders? They killed thousands in the name of christ. Also, read the Book of of Martyrs. The happy-go-lucky church you know today was not how it was in the past.

Actually i knew that verse from reading the bible, long before the internet bible came along. Thankfully we have separation of church and state in America, so i should be safe tonight. Although religious nuts try every day to narrow the gap.

I am against Islam. They used the same methods that jews/christians used to grow their religion. They killed unbelievers (that didn’t convert).

Point is, your big issue with Christians seems to be that we can believe what we want to believe, so long as we don't push our religion on you. It's ironic because the threads that have been started, and participated in by you, regarding religion have been trying to insult Christians and otherwise push your beliefs on them.
