So there's no chance players here improve huh? OK

The point I made (that you missed) is we have several guys who will command large contract extensions. We really need to keep those guys. if it weren't for having so many of those all at once, we probably would be more willing to dive into early free agency and sign a couple highly sought after free agents.

There's probably not that many teams right now who have that lengthy a list of guys that they need to pay first.

And just because a team makes "splash" moves doesnt guarantee any success in the regular season. The Redskins had how many years of winning the "offseason Super Bowl" and what did that get them? Remember that Eagles "Dream Team"??
c'mon dude players can improve or regress on ANY team.

i see your point but its not an excuse. why do they need to keep those guys? maybe because dallas doesnt have a plan B? and now they intend on filling the holes on the roster with 6 total picks in the draft + UDFA's.

dallas doesnt sign real talent in free agency like they should every once in a while. but im supposed to be happy they went out and signed jason witten for $5 million...?

Yeah I keep thinking about the amount of guys coming up who are going to want big money contracts at positions that deserve it and you are right, not many teams have the amount of players to pay at premium prices
Makes sense why we haven't been aggressive in the early part of FA but we could have done ET...that one still hurts just because of the upgrade it would bring...

Garrett would have been tossed to the curb by any other team years ago. What JJ sees in this clown is beyond me. Only he would think this blank page is “his Landry”.
Truly pitiful.

to even put Teddy Bridgewater on that list as a choice is stupidity at its finest.

Bridgewater is not a bum QB like people say he is. Dude was good at Louisville and was 10-5 as a starter in Minnesota. He just does what he is asked to do.

jason garrett vs. aaron rodgers

jason garrett is 1-6 vs. aaron rodgers

jason garrett is 0-4 vs. rodgers when the game is played AT HOME

in total, jason garrett has been outscored by aaron rodgers 210-180 including "a come back from a 21-12 halftime deficit to win 35-31 on a touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to wide receiver Davante Adams with 11 seconds left on the clock."

(ref. wikipedia)

these are stats from garrett being a head coach, not OC

Hey, I think Garrett has to go too unless they have a big year....but, if Jerry is gonna force feed us Kris Richard or Kellen Moore, I am not interested.

Who knows what Jerry will do? Seems like he wants to keep in the "family". I agree---No Richard. No Moore.
