Second that. I just want to know who's brainiac idea it was to make Alan Ball our starting FS. Maybe the Wade acted alone but something tells me Campo and Maxie were enablers. Not only should they be shown the door as well but should be shot in the face and set on fire as they exit the building.

Making that move with Ball was an accident waiting to happen, we need to move Ball back to corner and get another safety.

No. Ball jsut needs to be shown the door. We have too many CBs. If we will be drafting another CB on the first day, there is no place for him. Now are they going to have AOA at safety or CB this upcoming season?

Good question I dunno.

And if they get rid of Ball then fine, he was horrible most of the year anyways.

He did seem to have problems covering this year. I'm for whatever this coaching staff decides.

IMO, Ball has ability that can be an asset to our team. Just needs to be coached.. something he hasn't had the priviledge of under Campo and Maxie.

He lacks instinct. That is soemthing that coaching cannot fix.

Whether it be at CB or S, alot of players have succeeded in having solid careers in this league without having great "instincts".. wouldn't you agree?

The key is putting your guys in a position to succeed, which i don't think Ball has ever had. You throw him into a completely new position that he's never played before, and give him "coaches" like Campo and Maxie who are supposed to help him learn the nuances of the position and where to locate himself on the field, etc.. and you can expect what happened last season.

So that's it! Every and any guy that did not succeed in the NFL was because they never were put into a position to succeed. The real reason why Ryan Leaf and Jamarcus Russell are busts is simply because they were never put in a position to succeed.

I wasn't implying that all guys succeed for the same reasons, but for example, T New is a guy who doesn't have the greatest instincts for his position, but he still succeeds because of his athleticism and his positioning and technique.
