There's absolutely no reasonable argument anyone could give to me to pick Eli over Romo this year.. none.

Without a doubt. But that Lions' game is what did Romo in. People just ignore the stats and look at the one game.

I emailed all 31 (not our coaches bc they cant vote for our players) nfl head coaches and their assistant coaches. I informed them of how baffled I was that the most historic franchise in the nfl did not have AT LEAST 15 representatives in the pro bowl. I told them all that they would be eating their ballots after our postseason success. I even carbon copied Roger Goodell, I will not stand for this nonsense, and I will make sure my voice is heard. I closed the letter by saying, while I was disappointed in the results of the voting, ultimately it would not matter as our players would be held out of the actual game anyways. Seeing as how we will be playing in Indianapolis in February! In case you were wondering here, were the 15 players I thought were LOCKS for our cowboys.

Romo
Smith
Ware
Ratliff
Witten
Murray
Bailey
Mcbriar
LP Longsnapper
Mccray
Lee
Ball
Fiametta
Robinson
Costa

Ultimately the pro bowl isnt that damned important! its not like it determines home field advantage for the superbowl...I just embrace the hate

Wow, a guy that has 2 less TD and 7 more INTs and 17 points less WBR goes to the pro bowl over Romo when they both have the same record, only Romo has beaten the teams Eli lost to and Eli beat the teams that Romo lost to.

Insanity.

I think with Manning, people remember the late comeback wins against New England and Dallas more than anything else. he almost brought them back to beat SF too.

Funny how romo isn't even the first alternate. Can Newton is, damn he got dissrespected big time this year IMO ...

Good. I want this team to feel disrespected.

Maybe this will calm down all of the we have soooo much talent talk or more importantly, stop making Jerry believe the roster is loaded.

Couldn't agree with you more, c.

Even if it had dropped off, its still better than TG. He doesnt block at all.

Well, going by that post there.. i think its clear Witten didn't get snubbed. Gonzo just has the better numbers.

7 more catches and 2 more tds is only part of it. Witten has more yds, more yds per catch, more big plays and is by far a better blocker.

Tony is the bigger name and will always get the nod thanks to popularity. Witten has had a quiet season, it wasn't a spectacular season that screamed Pro Bowl worthy.

I don't think anyone considers blocking by a TE in Pro Bowl voting and Gonzo again, has more receptions, more scores, and only a couple less yards. Those are the three main stat areas that are looked at and i don't know how you can say his production isn't slightly better overall.

Even if you counter that you do believe Witten's numbers were slightly better, the fact still remains that both players were very very close in their numbers so either one being picked is justified, therefore the other not making it isn't really a snub.

Romo got snubbed. He had CLEARLY much better numbers than Eli, and Eli went over him. That's a snub.

Yeah I didn't realize Gonzo's stats were so similar to Witten's so I agree Witten didn't get jobbed. Gonzo is the GOAT and if it's a coinflip he'll always make it on name recognition alone.
