I dont think Rucker is much of a blocker. Phillips doesnt look 100% and even if he was, he isnt a great blocker either.

brad sham said last night that rucker has been working extensively with woicik and is trying to gain strength as quickly as possible. He also said he spent the whole summer and this camp basically working on blocking. I guess they feel he is a good wr but they need him to be more physical.

We can make all the excuses we want, but Ware just doesn't beat his man with anything close to consistency.

Sure he does, its why he's at the top of the league in sacks and tackles for loss every yr. Alot of weeks he beats mutliple guys, because offenses game plan the crap out of him.

You mean offenses. But we get your point. They game plan for Ware. Ware is the complete OLB. He is as stout against the run as he is a pass rusher, and is capable of playing in coverage.

The wonders of HGH and steroids.

That and having the best DC in the league at your disposal and one of the best CB tandems in the league that can cover long enough to allow Matthews to get sacks. He should have alot more.

I think we'll churn the bottom of our roster, but I don't think we're going to make any significant moves.

The Gurode thing confuses me. I don't like the idea of canning our longest tenured player, no matter how good the young pups have looked.

Of course, if we can get a reserve tackle or respectable tackle in reserve, I'd change my stance.
