You missed the sarcasm I guess. It's pretty hypocritical to say you don't mistreat someone while at the same time saying you won't associate with them. Do you ask every person you talk to their sexual orientation before you will speak to them?

Is it a rule that I have to? Should I go find one and be friends ? There are many groups that I don't associate with. Do you have a token gay friend to make you feel better about yourself?

I have more than one gay friend. Since you're making veiled religious arguments against associating with them, I'll just say, I tend to model myself and my attitudes towards others after the person who hung out with tax collectors, lepers, the sick, and the sinners.

Yeah, I've watched like 5 plays all preseason. I may not watch a game until my baseball team is done. I've already got tickets to watch the Mariners and Felix Hernandez play in Arlington on NFL's opening day. Game starts at 2:05, Cowboys-49ers is a 3:25 start.

I think even with most of us (critical posters) there has been some optimism the last few years. I would feel maybe we could outscore people, Romo can pull it off with the weapons he has, etc. This year, with the lack of effort made to actually improve the defense, I just have this feeling of not getting my hopes up and to expect more of the same.

I sense the same air of despair about this team, this season too. Maybe it's the brutal schedule, maybe it's Romo's back and the fact he's not looking well... Maybe it's 8-8, 8-8, 8-8.... And yeah, the "No Help Defense..." It's alot of things. Jerry's scandal with the bitty tar dancers. And so on.

I think i have resigned myself to knowing that this team will never sniff another Super Bowl in my lifetime. As Jerry points out, its just entertainment now. I am not even mad anymore.
