Here's my thing with Spencer. You would have to upgrade 3 positions to make him a better player, IMO. If you replaced Anthony Spencer with someone that could get to the QB regularly, you make the whole defense better. Corners, safeties and ILBs especially.

I don't think any one person could make either Elam, James/Brookins, and Newman better. But I understand what you mean.
