Which would give you about two weeks before the usual start to camp.

Could you imagine a two week mad dash FA period for vets and rookies?

You won't be able to keep up with everything.

The Redskins would make like 10 moves the first day and then pretend they didn't tamper.

I dont see this mad dash for FA that you constantly talk about. Maybe for the likes of Asomugha and Rice(wr) guys like that. Owners arent going to screaming bout the state of player contracts then go out and play up the wazoo for a player.

If Dallas came out with 2 or 3 guys i would be happy.

Dawan Landry
Cullen Jenkins
Jonathon Scott

are my list right now

If Landry couldnt be got, Huff or Daniel Manning would work.

I do have a feeling Sensabaugh could be playing for another team next yr.

Cullen Jenkins is another player I'd be happy with signing. My wish list is quite like yours.

If we end up with Huff, Landry, or Jenkins, i'll be pleased.

What's not to see? If the lockout ends in early July, you won't have more than a couple of weeks or so before camp starts. Teams will want their players in camp. So you'll see a flurry of activity in those two weeks to get what you can before you start camp.

There will not be a 2nd phase to FA where you can find a bargain by being patient. If a player is still unsigned three weeks later it's because he can't play. Or he'd be in somebody's camp already.

With how late the season is starting expect some kind of deal where the rules for 2010 uncapped yr could come into play.

They're meeting secretly again today and the NFL has advised the owners to be prepared to stay over night to get a deal done, per ESPN.

Once it's done your head will spin trying to keep up with all the activity. Its going to go from ghost town to Manhattan before the ink's dried.

Mort's reporting both sides are in a deal making mood and significant progress is expected over the next couple of days.

I was a little off in those ESPN reports. They are meeting today in D.C. And Mort did describe it as both sides being in a deal making mood. But there are meetings planned for next week and that's what the league notified the owners about with the possibility of staying the night.

Seems like this is a last push to get it done while you can still have a normal camp and preseason schedule.

I hope it happens. I really want to go to training camp. The earlier the agreement the better the chance we have a full one.

I'd say it would need to be done within the next three weeks.
