The funniest thing about the Parcells bashers is that they will argue that Parcells is nothing without such and such a coordinator, while simultaneously claiming that he held such and such a coordinator back.

They make arguments like this because they're retarded.

It's weird how they spend all day on a message board about football, but still don't know a goddamn thing about...errr football.

Parcells = First ballot HOF. Two SB rings. Mentored multiple coaches who went on to win a shitload of SB rings. Keeps getting asked to coach by the same former staff that he supposedly held back.

Parcells haters = None of those things. Retarded. Tweet Brian Broaddus and get excited if he replies. Can't fit through 26" doorways.

lol

You sure about that?

Amazing how someone who spends all day on a message board defending Parcells doesn't realize Parcells was passed over as a Hall of Fame finalist this year.

Asked to coach by one coach who is suspended for the year.

Also, who said anything about Parcells holding coaches back?

Parcells haters = Objective and intelligent. Oh, ridiculously good looking.

Wait, let me check again...

Yep, still no playoff wins or division titles without Belichick on his staff.

Weird.

lol so predictable and pathetic.

I'm just stating facts is all.

I don't have the misfortune of having to make gross speculations or resort to personal insults just to try and get a leg up in this discussion.

Parcells is a franchise builder. He left Belichick in New England with the core (Brown, Bruschi, McGinest, etc.) that went on to win those titles.

He hired coaches like Payton, Coughlin, and Belichick, and he salvaged 4 miserable franchises from the depths of their divisions.

Lotta his haters also don't realize that Belichick was some LB coach when Parcells turned the Giants from a 3-12 team into a playoff contender two years in a row before their Super Bowl titles. Parcells was savvy enough to promote Belichick to the D. coordinator job, but he built the team, and got them into the playoffs before Belichick was even in a prominent role on his staff.

Even Jerry Jones knew that Parcells would be the man to turn the franchise around and get him support for a new stadium. And that's exactly what happened here. Dallas has been relevant for about a decade thanks to him. It took Garrett 5 years to ruin what we had going here. Just proves how solid the team was for a bit there.

And if Little Bill didn't luck into Tom Brady, who knows where he'd be.

no speculation just a couple championships and the only coach in NFL history to take four different squads to the playoffs. Maybe you are missing the only coach in NFL history part.

So you're penalizing other coaches in the NFL for not quitting on their teams every few years?

Sorry, I'd take a coach who can build and sustain over a coach who's going to wear out his welcome and retirequit before the job is done.

Best QB Bill Parcells had to work with was a very inconsistent Tony Romo for a year and a half. Then got TO salvaged on him.

He had to work against a shit, no talent roster AND Jerry Jones breathing down his neck.

Hell, the worst starting RB in the history of the game (Darren Hambrick) was what Parcells had to work with at one point.

Maybe he should've tried to find someone other than sticking with old standby's like Testeverde/Bledsoe?

:confused

And what did he do once he was handed a stud QB in Romo. He quit.

And if Little Bill didn't luck into Tom Brady, who knows where he'd be.

Cleveland had already canned him, and he was well on his way to sucking ass in NE until he stumbled upon Brady magic

Parcells promoted him in the first place, and kept hiring him at different spots. That's ignored for some reason.

1-800-Dial a QB. But lucking into a QB on the suggestion of a QB coach, and actively finding one are totally different.

Can you blame him for quitting? Jerry Jones ran him off, just like Jerry ran off Jimmy Johnson.

Belichick was the last coach in Cleveland to take the Browns to the playoffs. 11-5.

Modell was hell bent on moving. Wasn't spending in free agency. No coach could succeed there.

Just like no coach has succeeded here with Jerry Jones getting his hands in everything.
