Anyone do this program?

I just got my stuff in the mail yesterday. Going to start on Monday.

I haven't worked out consistantly in a few years, so I imagine this'll be brutal.

I don't, but my wife does it. She said after the first 30 days it gets much easier. Prepare to be very sore for a while.

I was hanging out with my brother the other day and he happened to be doing the Insanity program when I was there. That thing is BRUTAL. Insanity is a much more demanding program.

The P90x guy is an annoying douche to have to listen to.

About a year ago, our boss started pimping his Crossfit routine. He said that P90x just couldn't compare and it eventually turned into a full blown competition between guys using P90, Crossfit, and Insanity. There were no official results (because nobody would volunteer to judge...or to model), but in my opinion, P90 gave the best results (from a pure vanity viewpoint). I used P90 for awhile, but it was just too time intensive so I've since gone back to a more normal weights/calisthenics routine. Insanity was just brutal. Without exception, all of the guys that started it flamed out.

Crossfit has a lot going for it, though. There is not a single person in my workplace that can keep up with the old man.

Anyway, good luck with the P90x. I've never been so sore as I was the first two weeks. It got easier quickly though (except for that plyometrics bullshit...god, I hated that) and you see and feel results very quickly.

I've heard good things about it.

I've been active and fit my whole life, but I really haven't done anything the past few years and I can feel it. I'm going to post topless pictures of myself when I finish in 90 days. I'm sure it'll be abulous.

:awkward

But on the reals, you'll be impressed if you can hang. At least you're fit to begin with. I cannot imagine a blob picking this up and immediatately running with it. There's an easier version called just P90 that might do the trick for those types.

Anyway, only a month in and I was starting to define areas that have never been defined. And...that's about when I decided I couldn't hang with the plyo workouts anymore and blew it all up. It's all running and bowflexing for me now, though I may pick up the P90x again soon (sans plyo and yoga). That shit wasn't cheap.

I think I'll be sore as a bitch the first week. Once I get past that, I should be okay.

I actually think the biggest challenge - and I may be underestimating this whole thing - is going to be my motivation to work out in the morning. I'm planning on waking up between 4:30 and 5am each morning and doing this. If I can will myself out of bed at those times, then I'll be good.

That'll be the hard part, because I'm usually awake until sometimes 2 in the morning roaming around the neighborhood dressed in all black, and peeping into peoples windows.

I won't quit. I've been blessed with an iron will.

I just think I should've taken a week or two to ease back into exercising. But instead, I went all gung-ho and jumped feet first. Definitely paying the price now.

If you can keep it up good for you, but I've given up, too much stress on my bad back. I didn't think my back was that bad but hey.

Are you sure it was your back that caused you to quit? Because I'm thinking it had more to do with you being a soft vagina.
