I'm not excited about anyone right now. There are guys I like and guys I don't but I'm not setting my heart on anyone because you never know what stupid move Jerry is going to pull on draft day. I'm expecting him to trade up to get Cam Newton. If you go in expecting the worst you can't be disappointed lol

OK since you don't wanna let go of Sherrod not falling, as players always do in every draft. You do realize there's only 80 points that separates the #40 pick from the #33, right? 80 points would be equivalent to that of our 4th round pick. So we wouldn't be trading the 3rd or possibly 2nd that we acquired from the trade down. And thats IF we even had to trade up 1-8 slots if Sherrod fell into the 2nd.

Has nothing to do with me not letting go with Sherrod falling. It's that the reality is remote, very remote. You are fixated that Tyron Smith will not fall a few slots to where we could trade down and still snag him, but convinced that Sherrod will fall out of the entire 1st round. Personally, in a trade down scenario where Smith is no longer available, I'd rather have Sherrod and Cannon. And you are going by a draft chart that for many is pretty much outdated.

I'm just saying don't get too excited on a player like Tyron Smith.

There's a lot of rumors out there that he's our pick. Do you really think we would want other teams to know who we are drafting?

I think a lot of teams are blowing smoke up each others asses right now. Don't be surprised come draft day if we select a guy like Robert Quinn or trade down.

Aw shut up. You been excited about a number of players depending on thye time of day and who is hypiong them. Take your own advice. Most teams all have an idea as to what the other is going to draft. There are very few surprises. And I don't want Quinn, not with the brain tumor.

That could easily be said for Carolina for example, they pick first. Of course we'll know who their picking. Go a little further in to the draft and you'll have no idea what teams do.

It doesn't matter what you and I want, it's what Jerruh wants. If Jerruh likes him, he'll draft him.

Plus when you have the inevitable curveball selection that messes up everyone's mock, it creates scenarios nobody expected.

Nobody knows anything about the Draft. That's what makes it so great.

I'm usually all about accumulating picks and increasing your margin for error. But if the Cowboys have a true blue chip LT grade on Smith and nobody else on the board, don't get cute. Sit tight and take him.

Look the scenarios are put in place because I wanted to give a difference between staying put and going the OT then G route or trading back, taking the G/C, acquiring an extra 2nd or 3rd, then drafting the highest rated tackle. Forget Sherrod at this point. It could be any tackle. Franklin in the 2nd, doesn't matter.

Simple concept, right? Well, some of you got it.

The know-it-alls/people who can see the future want to argue about whether or not Sherrod will fall 8 picks or that the DVC is outdated or that only two teams in the top 20 want Tryon Smith.

You are being hypocritical. How is it any different in your claim that we would be unable to trade back and still get Smith? And how is it any different in your claim that Smith would be gone before our pick? If going by most mocks, there are only two teams that have consistantly went for Tyron: the Cowboys and the Lions. On occasions there's been the Vikings.

Based on the way he's been sky rocketing up boards... I would think it would be a stretch to say the number one OT in this draft is falling out of the top 20.

Maybe thats just me though.

Exactly is right. So how can you sit up there and state that Smith will not be at our pick, or that it is not realistic that trading down and still getting Smith is not a reality?

Dumbass, I never said Smith WON'T be at our pick. I said its more likely he'll be gone before we pick at #9 rather than going in the teens (or even out of the top 20) based on simple facts.

Kinda different.

Tyron Smith won't make it past the 13th pick. Bank on it.

If we don't draft him Detroit will.

It is still no different than my saying that it is unrealistic that Sherrod drops to #40. Let's just agree to disagree. Why the name calling twinkie?

Not if Amukamara is there.

I dunno, Backus is old and not playing very well, and the other kid they drafted in the first rd a couple yrs ago is coming off microfracture surgery. They supposedly had a slew of people at USC's proday as well.

Minnesota also loves Tyron Smith, they might be done with McKinnie and Loadholt is proving to be a JAG.
