Cowboys Interested In DeAngelo Hall?

03-12-2013, 07:34 PM

Dan Hellie of NBC Washington reports the Cowboys are interested in free agent DeAngelo Hall to play free safety.

Hall gets deservingly ripped for his man coverage, but he's always been a quietly strong tackler with ball skills. It would make sense for Hall to try free safety in order to prolong his career. The Cowboys have scant cap space, but a cheap one-year deal could be a win for Hall if he doesn't get better offers.

Now they're saying Revis to Tampa Bay. At least he stays out of the NFCE.

Despite having $32.3 million of dead money on their cap, the Raiders are now $15.3 million under the cap.

Bears release TE Kellen Davis, per league source.

We tried to sign Davis last offseason.

Trade Miles.

Bring back Laurent.

It would be good if we signed both Davis and Robinson.

Robinson takes ogletree's spot, Davis takes Phillips.

Both have a perfect role here, we need another outside guy at wr and an end line blocker.

Wouldn't have to chase it in the draft. Might actually get a draft dedicated to both lines this way.

Wr would be pretty solid with Dez,Austin, Robinson, Harris, Beasley.

Sounds good but this is scary stuff. Never heard about this before.

Laurent Robinson still faces "serious obstacles" as he attempts to bounce back from four concussions suffered during the 2012 season.
"And he might call it quits" at the next sign of a problem, according to Gene Frenette of the Florida Times Union. "I said to him, 'One more concussion, and you need to be done,'" said Robinson's wife. Robinson continues to battle "severe headaches," and "prefers not to go out in daylight." He's also begun distancing himself from their baby daughter when she makes noise. "I want to continue to play [football]," said Laurent. "But I still want to live until 80 or 90 years old." Feb 2 - 1:31 AM

Jaguars released WR Laurent Robinson.
Signed to a five-year, $32.5 million contract a year ago, Robinson's career is now in jeopardy thanks to four 2012 concussions. Although the Jags say he passed his exit physical Wednesday, that doesn't mean he's been cleared to play football again. As recently as a month ago, Robinson was still feeling headaches and suffering from other concussion-related symptoms.

Miles doesn't offer us any trade value. Boldin went for a 6th.. We'd be lucky to get that. Might as well keep him.

Robinson will come back.

Harris showed a lot of promise in the #3 role last year. Signing Robinson might delay his progress. Of course, you could also sign Robinson to start and put Austin in the slot.

Dallas has no depth on the outside at WR. That is the only reason Ogletree was kept around in my opinion. Harris looks good but still need outside depth
