I know why they like getting him these short passes because of the way he runs after catch, but seems like they need to start running him downfield a little more here. Probably need to look to Witten and even Escobar some in 2nd half too

I think that's asking too much of this coaching staff.. Getting creative and involving our other pieces like Escobar and Dunbar is just too much for them to handle.

Ha. When I was saying this back in the Dez contract thread, people called me a lunatic. But it happens every time a team decides Dez isn't going to be a factor. He isn't.

That has more to do with game planning than Dez, IMO. If Dez was the line wolf weapon on offense, I think they'd get more creative, but the staff clearly is arrogant in the fact that they think they can beat teams with Williams/Beasley/Harris/Witten.

And to their credit they've been good enough to do that this far, I just think at some point you need him to be more involved. It's like they don't care if all he's getting is 2 yard hitches. It's a waste.

Dude, it hasn't mattered in the past our planning, or other talent - when teams want Dez out, he is out. It's been a pattern.

I haven't noticed that so I'll be paying more attention.

On teams taking Dez away - ALOT of it is him. Because his mind gets set on physically beating these guys instead of finding ways to get open. He wants to go gangsta. Michael Irvin himself said this last year.

Ha. Throwing that deep ball whether it works or not, is one good way to put the fear in that secondary. Also with today's rules, it is a good way to get the penalty yards and the automatic 1st down.
