Walsh was never considered as the starter. He was trade bait from day One according to Jimmy.

suckering the Saints was nice, but had we passed on Walsh in the supplemental draft, we could have demanded a king's ransom for the #1 pick (Jeff George) the following year

Wentz didn't come close to running 4.65 either by the way.
I get 4.77 on Wentz, and 4.7 on Troy although really can't find anything on his official time. There's not some huge gulf between 4.77 and 4.65 though.
Sure they are "comparable" but they arnt close in overall rating. Aikman's arm and accuracy were far superior, and it really isn't close. Aikman was one of the highest rated draft eligible QB prospects of the modern league era, and for good reason.
Aikman's arm and accuracy in 1992 maybe, I am talking draft day. And if you have a link to back the assertion in bold I would love to see it.

You really can't admit they are comparable and then also say "not even close" since, that's what comparable means.

Atlanta didn't get much for that #1 pick, from Indy though. We came out far better on the Walsh trade.

Aikman also had an extremely quick release. I remember Aikman's quick release being compared to Elway's in his prime. He went through his reads quick, made a decision and the hit the WR between the numbers. Because of the offense they ran he didn't put up numbers like Marino but as far as accuracy he was arguably the most accurate QB of all time.

I'll see if I still have one of my draft books from Aikman's draft. That said, he was an exceptional athlete for the position and his size when he came in the league. His arm talent was obvious and his accuracy was off the charts. He was awesome in UCLA's pro style offense in 87 and 88. Aikman's draft grade was significantly higher than Wentz's is (or any other QB in this draft) and was considered one of those once or twice a decade type QB prospects at the time.

Aikman was also offered a baseball contract out of high school by the Mets, I believe as a SS

DE Mike DeVito retired. Anyone heard of this guy before?? PFF rated him one of the best DEs from 2010-2013.

You just cant make this shit up:

Johnny knucklehead Manziel reportedly living with Browns WR Josh Gordon, who just failed ANOTHER drug test.

Other than Lawrence Phillips has there been a bigger waist of talent than Josh Gordon?

You guys see that TMZ interview with Manziel outside the club? If you didn't think he was completely wheels-off before, that sealed it. Dude was totally glassy eyed and acting like the biggest bro-douche ever. I bet his dad's right, he'll be dead soon.

Jimmy attempted to get Troy multiple times. First in high school. Then again in college.

I was listening to the Cowboys Break podcast today and they mentioned that you could either watch or at least listen to what's going on in the war room on draft day. But they didn't say how or where to do it?

Does anyone know how I can get the live feed of the war room as the draft is in progress?

I'd love to hear their thought process as they move down their draft board

Its not Von Miller, he's actually living with Josh Gordon, who just flunked another drug test.

You cant hear their conversations, but they have a live video feed up on the Cowboys website every year. You can usually see which coordinator/position coaches come in before a pick is made, which can give away which side of the ball the pick is going to be on because that coach gets on the phone with the prospect after Jones and Garrett.

Later after picks are made they put up the tape of the phone conversations.

From what the podcast was saying is that you would be able to hear what was going in the war room this year

Maybe something changed

That'd be cool if it happened.

I'm dubious this will happen, it will be snippets at best, they can't broadcast every thought as its happening and not damage their draft in the process

it is jerri-world, so anything is possible
