Offense: 25

QB - 2

Tony Romo
Kyle Orton

The Stephen McGee experiment is over. Another blow to the horrific draft class of 2009. But with a relatively young and experienced QB like Orton backing up Romo, there isn't a need for a third QB on the roster. Not sure if we'd sign a young QB to the practice squad. Rudy Carpenter is back with us, but I dont' think he has PS eligibility left.

RB - 4

DeMarco Murray
Lawrence Vickers
Felix Jones
Phillip Tanner

I'm not buying Broaddus' speculation that Felix won't make the final 53. And I'm taking Tanner as our third back because I like his running style and I was impressed with what a banger he was when given the chance last year. Hard guy to bring down.

WR - 6

Dez Bryant
Miles Austin
Andre Holmes
Dwayne Harris
Cole Beasley
Yet to be signed veteran

I think one of two things happen here: Danny Coale either starts the year on the PUP list, giving us 6 weeks before having to make a decision with him, or we carry 6 receivers into the season. Ogletree is as good as gone. Radway could be practice squad material. Tim Benford has an outside shot at the PS. Hakim is just a fast camp body.

TE - 3

Jason Witten
John Phillips
James Hanna

OL - 10

Tyron Smith
Nate Livings
Mackenzie Bernadue
Ronald Leary
Doug Free
Phil Costa
David Arkin
Jeff Adams
Josh Parnell
Bill Nagy

My ideal starting 5 would be the first five lineman listed. I don't think Bernadue will start the season at center, due to the time he missed, but I think before the years end he'll be in there for Costa. I have hopes that David Arkin can prove to be a solid reserve guard, and I'm picking Jeff Adams simply because he was the highest rated UDFA tackles that was out there. Not that that means anything at this point.

Defense - 26

DL - 7

Sean Lissemore
Jay Ratliff
Marcus Spears
Jason Hatcher
Josh Brent
Junior Geathers
Tyrone Crawford

ILB - 4

Sean Lee
Bruce Carter
Dan Connor
Orie Lemon

I've been on the Orie Lemon bandwagon. I think he gets the nod over Caleb McSurdy.

OLB - 5

DeMarcus Ware
Anthony Spencer
Kyle Wilbur
Victor Butler
Adrian Hamilton

CB - 6

Brandon Carr
Maurice Claiborn
Mike Jenkins
Orlando Scandrick
Mario Butler
Isaac Madison

I actually think Mike Jenkins starts the year on the PUP list. He reportedly can't even throw a football overhanded more than 10 yards. Sounds like his shoulder is really weak and nowhere near being ready to play full contact football in 6 weeks.

Safety - 5

Matt Johnson
Barry Church
Gerald Sensabaugh
Danny McCray

If Matt Johnson doesn't pan out, this might be the worst group of safeties we've ever rolled out. I'm keeping McCray because he's a difference maker on special teams.

Punter -1
Chris Jones

Kicker - 1

Dan Bailey

LS - 1

Frenchy Ladaceuor or whatever

heard some rumbling yesterday from spagnola that he is hearing that there is a chance mcquistan could be the starting right guard.......

also, I think we will carry 3 qbs like every team will...they amended the rules last year to allow 46 dressed players on gameday with the idea that the 46th would be the 3rd qb and I think everyone avoided that last year....i thought read something about that being pushed at the owners meetings.

No love for Pool.

And how would anyone be able to make a determination about McQuistain now, when the lineman aren't even in pads yet?

I was listening to talking cowboys and he said because of some of the injuries to mack and kowalski that he heard some stuff about mcquistan playing guard.

bryan said he didnt think so because he was positive mcquistan and parnell are going to play a ton at tackle obviously in the summer to allow them to evaluate the young wr and rb.....last year tackle was awful in the preseason and they couldnt evaluate the players because of it....

Both have been cut and brought back (although AOA appears to be gone for good), and neither can return kicks or play their position very well.

harris was released because of injury and the injury affecting his stamina.....they knew he would clear waivers.

Me thinks Albright makes it over Lemon. Nagy and Kowalski also make the roster. Not sure about the undrafted db's. We can stash some of those guys on the PS. I can't undestand the insistence of cutting Felix. Last year we had to sign a retread late in the season to back up Felix and now we're cutting him? No way that happens.

Forgot about Nagy. I'm going to edit the OP and add him over Taplin-Ross. I don't think we have any young safety prospects outside of Church and Johnson worth keeping.

Shit. That puts me at 10 Olineman. No way we keep that many, but I don't feel like editing everything right now.

Thanks. Would be a pretty damning comment on our recent guard acquisitions if the big ugly had to start at G.
