If that's the case then why was Arkin starting from game one/day one. That contradicts his statement.

I like the youth movement that was put in place it's just the lack of a contingency plan in case things fell through that was short sighted.

It was early in preseason. Maybe they just wanted to see if he would be overwhelmed by the jump, and if so, how badly. He didn't have a good showing, so the move was made. If anything, it's nice to see they didn't try to keep forcing it just because of his draft position.

I prefer them because they have played against bigger players, more complicated systems, and are not overwhelmed by the stage. Also...who says they are lazy...take Nagy for instance, he is a project, but he played at a big school, had good coaching, playing/practicing against top competition.

If they received such great coaching and have all that going for them. Why are they still projects? (barring injury)

A small school guy can have that excuse because the coaching he's receiving isn't at the level of a big school players'.

BTW I'm not saying all projects from big schools are lazy. I think a good majority of them are though.

I don't know, but they are all projects. So your point if someone played 3 years at a big school, that they would not be a project, is false.

Some players are more projects than others though. And I never said that there were polished rookies. Your reading comprehension sucks.

My point is that projects, let's call them extremely raw, even by college standard, players from big schools concern me more than those from small colleges.

You are right, peplaw said it...both are wrong about this though, so it is hard to tell you two apart.

Come on... Tyron Smith is not a "project." He's not a first team all NFL player now, but he's not a project.
