I wasin the military during that time. I missed several almost entire years due to overseas deployments.

To clue you in on how little I knew.... I'm also a Vols fan, and Quincy Carter used to give the Vols fits. We were in Norway and a buddy and I went to an internet cafe to check the draft results. I saw we drafted QC... and my first thought was "Super Bowl.":awkward

Funny, my first thought when we drafted Quincy Carter was "I hate Jerry". Second thought was "Quincy throws like a girl."

I hated that pick. In the fourth round, maybe take a flier on him, but trading out of the 2nd and then back up into the 2nd to take him was absolutely retarded. I don't think any other team, other than maybe Al Davis and the Raiders would've drafted QC earlier than the late 3rd or 4th round.

That pick was all Jerry Jones falling in love with QC who he thought would be the next McNabb or Culpepper who were all the rage back then. A prime example of Jerry trying to chase the latest fad and dooming the franchise to more years of mediocrity at the same time.

I'm a UGA guy. I was mixed on getting him. As a freshman he looked like he might be the next big thing, but he never really put it together afterward and we started hearing rumors of off field issues with him. I thought we drafted him too early, but if a guy like Akili Smith could get drafted in the top-10 overall, late 2nd rd for Q Bong (who was betetr than Smith in college, and against better teams) wasnt terrible.

That said, it didnt take long for everyone to see he wasnt the answer.

Who was the guy on ESPN boards arguing that Quincy Carter had a better rookie year than Donovan McNabb, like it meant something?

THIS GUY!

That was the infant days of my message board career. And I call it a career, because Sheik pays me well to "Administer" you monkeys.

Now... post your top 10 mocks.

This is how I see the top 10 ending up:

1. Colts - Andrew Luck, QB Stanford
2. Redskins - Robert Griffin III, QB Baylor
3. Rams - Justin Blackmon, WR, OK State
4. Jaguars - Quinton Coples, DE, North Carolina
5. Vikings - Alshon Jeffry, WR, South Carolina
6. Panthers - Matt Kalil, OT, Southern California
7. Chiefs - Matt Barkley, QB, Southern California
8. Cardinals - Riley Reiff, OT, Iowa
9. Dolphins - Landry Jones, QB, Oklahoma
10. Browns - Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama

I see the Cowboys going defense around the 23-27 range, and snagging a 350lb Devon Still to plug the middle of the defensive line.

Just after the holidays is when I really get into the draft. I'll be posting some draft stuff then.

I'll post my top ten in a day or so.

Not an immediate need, but too talented to pass up. Gives the Cardinals an immediate running game, and ends the failed Beanie Wells era.

Clearly, this post provided Beanie Wells the needed motivation to blow up for over 200 yards this week.
