I think there's a small percentage of people whom are gay/lesbian/bi by choice for whatever reason. My friend's mom (who's hot as fuck) decided she likes girls. If I was an atheist, I would feel the same way. My Southern Baptist beliefs teach that homosexual activity is wrong, but those beliefs are not the reason that I find it repulsive.
