Police: Former Farmington School Employee Videotaped Trying to Have Sex with Cow

A former employee of the Farmington School System faces criminal charges after New York police said he attempted to have sex with a cow.
Reid Fontaine, 31, and another man was arrested at a farm in Herkimer, New York, CBS Connecticut reported. The farmer had set up video surveillance in an attempt to figure out why his cows were anxious and milk production was down.
The Hartford Courant reported that Fontaine was charged with sexual misconduct, a misdemeanor. Also charged was Michael H. Jones, 35, of Ilion, New York.
Fontaine was an IT Network Specialist for Farmington schools for the last six months. School Superintendent Kathleen C. Greider has released statement about the incident.
Greider stated that school officials learned of the charges against Fontaine on Sunday, Feb. 23. The district contacted Farmington Police and requested an investigation. Farmington Police were then in contact with police from New York. Sunday night Fontaine resigned.
"The former employee did not provide instruction to students nor did he have responsibilities involving direct student contact," Greider states.
Fontaine's responsibilities involved the district's technology infrastructure and hardware. Greider said a mandatory criminal background check did not turn up anything on Fontaine prior to him being hired.
