I'd love to hear how you figure he's a declining player?

His stats are all over the place, he's a fat piece of shit, his accuracy is terrible of late, how many times did he over throw receivers last year?

His leadership skills have diminished and Shanahan has come out publicly and stated Donavan isn't fit to run his offense, what more do you want?

Oh, and Andy Reid gave up on him, the Eagles out of all places for Christ sakes.

He could have a good season here or there, but the guy is definitely a declining player. He did too many Chunky soup commercials. He's living proof.

Well let's be real here. While McNabb is declining, Shanahan did throw him under the bus.

Look at what he did in his last season with the Eagles.. declining? I haven't seen any proof of that yet. I could give you a million reasons why no QB would play well last year under Shannahan and his little boy with the way they ran things. That team was a complete joke.

But he is not going to be in Reid's system so he might as well be declining.

You can say he might as well be declining whenever you want.. the fact is, last year was a complete circus with the way Shannahan and little Shannahan ran that team. But the last year he played with the Eagles he had one of the best seasons of his career, so to me, he's still a dangerous QB, and one that the Viks would be a threat with.

And I agree with this, but all the same McNabb is declining. It happens. But what you fail to udnerstand that McNabb is a sysmte QB. He thrived in Reid's system like many QBs have and will. That is why some team would be foolish enough to give up a 1st or even a 2nd round draft pick for Kolb. And no0 he is not a dangerous QB anymore like he was with the Eagles, despite his last year. And he would not be a threat with the Vikings, because the Vikings are not running a WCO anymore. The Vikings take McNabb and go with him, they will be in last place again in that division. They need to quit with the stopgaps and simply bite the bullet. They have a young enough team to do that.

Two hall of fame coaches gave up on him.

He's a declining player.

I'm not sure if I would call either Shanahan or Reid HOF coaches but I get what you mean.

I think Shanny gets in based on his two Super Bowl wins. Reid probably doesn't, you're right.

But they're both very good coaches, and they're both well regarded offensive geniuses.

And they both gave up on McNabb.

They wouldn't have done that if they thought he wasn't declining.

I've always thought Shanahan was overrated and if you go back to the last few years of coaching including this past one, it would appear as much. Look what he has done post Elway, Davis, and Sharpe.
