Saw this at C-F. Apparently there was a report from Steve Ingle.

If true, Marion Barber should be inactive today and released on Monday morning.

Jerry will tell Garrett he can bench Barber for the first play but that is it.

He shouldn't have let him on the plane and he definitely shouldn't be INACTIVE....

What a POS you are Barber...

You show your team respect for overpaying your ass by deliberately not adhering to the rules.

Put his ass on the bench for the rest of the Fing season.

That needs to be done anyway.

If I were Jason I would start Choice just to see what he can do behind this shitty line, which is probably the same result as Felix has shown.

There's no reason for Barber to be on the flight if true. Jason isn't as hard nosed as I thought he was. Players still trying to fight for the right to be individuals.

Barber has turned into my least favorite loser on this team over the last year and a half.

Go F your mother, Barber.

It could be a case of him making an honest mistake with the new rules. So I'll wait to find out.

But if it was an intentional violation of the dress code, then he shouldn't play another down in a Cowboys uniform.

This is what would happen if I was Garrett:

Garrett: "What are you doing?" looking at what Barber is wearing...

Barber: *mumbles* "I thought this was the dress code."

Garrett: "No, we talked about the dress code in detail in the meeting."

Barber: "Well...*mumbles*"

Garrett: "Get the fuck off the plane."

Marion Barber did not follow new dress code

Todd Archer / Reporter

Jason Garrett made it clear that players were required to wear sport coats, ties, slacks and dress shoes for road trips. After all, today's game against the New York Giants is a business trip.

Hanging around the Jersey City Westin on Saturday night when the team arrived, I noticed Marion Barber was in a sport coat and jeans without a tie. Everybody else I saw - and it was not everybody - met Garrett's requirement.

Is it a big deal? Not really but there is a level of disrespect being shown by not following the dress code in the first week. And it gives Garrett the chance to send a message, whether he does it publicly or not. Players will know what happens.

What makes it worse, to me, is that Barber is a team captain and he chose not to follow Garrett's rules. What kind message does that send to the team as a captain?

We'll see the post-game attire. Players are required to return home in suits too. That was not the case under Wade Phillips.

There has to be a significant response to this.

You lose nothing removing him from the roster.

There will be a message sent, let's see who sends it.

I know who it should be.

Well, he played today. So, IMO, we handled it badly.

He should have been inactive today.

I hope him sitting out the first play wasn't the penalty for this violation. If so, that's laughable and reeks of Jerry Jones.
