Jerry declines speaking about Marinelli

Dallas Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones wouldn't comment Friday morning about the status of defensive line coach Rod Marinelli during his radio show on 105.3 The Fan Dallas/Fort Worth.
With Tampa Bay hiring Lovie Smith as its new head coach, there are reports Marinelli would leave the Cowboys to join one of his closest friends.
"Again, we don't get into any of those kinds of things, communications between clubs, about interviews or requests," Jones said.
Last year, Chicago wanted Marinelli to remain on its staff, but he decided to leave out of loyalty to Smith, who was fired as the Bears' coach.
The Cowboys' front office has been in meetings this week evaluating players and coaching staff. The status of several coaches is uncertain, including both coordinators, Monte Kiffin (defense) and Bill Callahan (offense).
If Tampa Bay wanted to interview Marinelli to become their defensive coordinator, it needs permission from the Cowboys.
